This is the archive of our last year announcements and postings. We decided to keep one year of history at all times.

2004-2005 School Year

7 Aug, 05 - We participated in Family festival at Getty Museum. It is becoming school tradition to attend local educational events together.

26 June, 05 - Our traditional end-of-year show is always something to remember. Students read their essays in Russian, presented their charades, recited poems, danced and sang in Russian. Quite a surprise was a special dance after which bunches of flowers emerged from behind the stage. These flowers were for our teachers, the best of the best in local community. The culmination of the show was our own production of "The Tale of Lost Time" ("Skazka o poteryannom vremeni") by Eugenii Schwartz.  Our talented students and parents performed fantastically well. We should probably start thinking about a tour or something......................

11 June, 05 - We performed at Global Village Festival in Irvine. Our girls, dressed in sarafans and kokoshniks performed beautiful Russian folk dance directed by Yelena Vorobyova. Our choir, directed by Maria Rose sang to unsuspected audiences songs about ponies, pink elephant and multiplication table - in Russian! Everybody loved it! The key moment was when our dancers were invited to join group Iranian dance - they did very well too! Our moms and dads are very proficient at making Russian costumes now. We could even make them for sale, just let us know.
